Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy is an English lingerie, catwalk and television model. She was second in the final of Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2 in 2006) and she was the winner of series 11 on Strictly Come Dancing (2013). She has been Britain's Next Top Model presenter since the year 2015. Clancy was born in Liverpool. She is the second oldest child of four siblings, Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was born in Woolton near Liverpool and attended St Mary's Primary school and St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy was the founder of the girl group Genie Queen, who were managed by Andy McCluskey from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). Clancy was chosen as one of the 13 finalists to the second season of Living Television's Britain’s Next Top Model. She was competing for a 10-week modeling contract. Clancy was paired with Lianna Fowler on the final runway show and became the runner-up. Clancy was featured in Britain's Next Top Model and has since modelled for several publications and newspapers. Clancy was a model in Arena magazine in the month of May 2007. He was included on the cover of the magazine with the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike. Clancy was chosen for Sports Illustrated's 2010 swimsuit issue. Clancy was selected for her sporting connection to Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed in body paint for the magazine to appear as if she was wearing an England shirt. Yu Tsai shot the photos. Clancy was featured as a model in Umbro sportswear's campaign for 2010. Clancy walked in Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011 line. In March 2011, Clancy was featured on Elite Model Management: New York division's website. In July 2013 she walked as part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign as part of a fashion editorial by Absynth Photographic and the fashion film of Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured in August's UK Esquire cover, photographed by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy, along with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was included in LOVE magazine's December 2013 Advent Calendar. Clancy was featured on the cover of British Marie Claire, July 2014, as well as British Elle March 2015. In October 2019, Abbey Clancy and her daughter Sophia Crouch collaborated with Lipsy, a London-based fashion brand, for the Launch of their AW'19 collection. The AW19 collection launched in UAE in January 2020.
