American actor Courtney Thorne Smith was born November 8, 1967. Her most well-known roles include her roles in Melrose Place as Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her recurring role on Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne-Smith was born in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Menlo Park, a suburb south of San Francisco. Her father, Walter Smith, was a market researcher for computers, and her mother, Lora Thorne, was a therapist. Courtney was just seven years old when her parents divorced. Courtney lived with both parents for a variety of times. Jennifer her elder sister is an advertising executive. She attended Menlo Atherton High School located situated in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in 1985. In the high school, she took part in performances with the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne Smith made her debut film appearance in the 1986 feature film drama Lucas as well as Winona Ryder, Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. She also appeared in several films in the late 1980s, including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987), and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she appeared in the box office flop Chairman of the Board with Carrot Top. Thorne-Smith was in Sorority Wars in 2009. Thorne Smith has dated Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen boyfriend from Melrose Place. The actress got married to geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. They divorced in 2001. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group Zizo Group, a marketing company) and author of What I Know was her wedding date. The couple welcomed Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008 at 40 years old.
